Parenting is not for cowards. Parenting is
inconvenient. Parenting is the most important job you will ever have because
you are responsible for the future and outcome of another human being. Those
are all strong truths and since kids do not come with instruction manuals we
are all under trained for the job. In an effort to help give some tools I am
adding a parenting section. I plan to add an even platform. In the following
links you will find many different styles of parentings. I do not make any
claims as to what works and what does not because each child is different and
each family is unique. I will be adding sections from all types of different
styles. As with anything, take what works and leave the rest. I am a big love
and logic parent but not all of the tools within Love and Logic work for me so
I do not use them all. I use what works for US from each different style.
These are not step by step insructions, they are only tools and just like any
tool box, you pull out the tool that you need for that job and leave the rest.
There are tools in the tool box that you will use every day and there are tools
in the tool box that you may never pick up at all. I do not advocate any one
style for any one family because as I said, your children are different. Love
them and respect them but love them enough to set boundaries and protect them.
